Ingredients
- 1 box uncooked lasagna noodles
- 1 pound Italian sausage or ground beef, cooked and crumbled
- 16 ounces shredded Italian blend cheese, divided
- 2 ounces sliced black olives
- ½ cup diced green bell pepper
- ½ cup diced onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 29 ounce can tomato sauce
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tbs parmesan cheese
- Salt/pepper to taste
Preparation
- Coat a casserole dish with cooking spray
- Mix the water with the sauce, set aside.
- In a pan, sauté the peppers, onions and garlic until tender. Mix with the cooked meat.
- Spread a thin layer of sauce on the pan, and top with a single layer of noodles
- Top the noodles with a portion of the meat, and a portion of the cheese, add a and top with some of the sauce (1/4-1/3 cup)
- Repeat until all the ingredients are used.
- Finish top layer with sauce and cheese on top
- Cover tightly with foil and refrigerate
- The next day, uncover and bake in a preheated 350 oven for 25-30 minutes.
- Serve with parmesan cheese.
