Ingredients

  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ¼ cup small chocolate chip morsels
  • ¼ cup crumbled walnuts
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 banana, sliced

Preparation

  1. In a sealable container, combine the oats, milk, chocolate chips, walnuts, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Cover and refrigerate overnight
  2. To assemble, place equal amounts of prepared oats mixture into 4 jars, followed by the peanut butter, walnuts and sliced banana and/or other desired toppings.

Feel free to get creative with your jar. Change it up by using chocolate milk. Substitute peanue butter with honey flavored peanut butter for additional sweetness. Mash a banana and add it to the oats for extra creaminess. Other possible toppings: Chia seeds, pumpkin spice, strawberry’s, sliced almonds, hazelnuts, Hazelnut spread, whipped cream, and even white chocolate. You can even warm it up and enjoy it with a BIG scoop of ice cream
