Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 5 cheese sticks (mozzarella)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Small wooden skewers (4”)

Preparation

  1. Mix the beef, salt and seasoning together in a bowl
  2. Slice the cheese sticks into ½ inch pieces
  3. Wrap beef around cheese, forming a golf ball sized ball
  4. Cook over medium high heat in a skillet with 1 tablespoon olive oil
  5. Cook until brown, turning occasionally
  6. Before serving, place skewer in each meatball.
  7.  Serve with marinara sauce for dipping
